Here in St. Petersburg (or if you aren't in St. Pete go here to see your location's date and time) on August 13th, Staples on 34th St. N. is having its Teacher Appreciation Day. Teachers who come and show their certification card will get a free gift bag (limited to first 100 teachers) and coupons to help save on supplies for their classroom. It starts at 9 AM. Also, teachers are able to get up to 20 $.01 items whereas the general public is only allowed to get 2.
At Office Depot they are also having a Teacher Appreciation day on August 13th from 9-11am. They are having free breakfast and free giveaways. (Luckily there is an Office Depot right across from Staples so you can hit them both pretty easily!) Teachers do have to join their Star Teacher program, but it is free. And as a member you get 20% off instantly during your event week (which is Aug.7-13). Go here to see the details and to join.
Its nice to see stores helping out teachers, especially when they usually don't get the respect they deserve!
